Hi guys, quick question - the black hose pictured below is that part of the vacuum pump?
Also should it be bouncing up and down when the engine is running e.g popping in an out?

That looks a vacuum hose, looks like there's wear on the connection. Secure it with duct tape until you get it fixed

    Hi thanks for the reply.
Should it be popping in and out like that so violently? Surely that means the seal has gone and air will be getting in?

    Rob.

Checked it again this morning and its stopped popping in and out, however if I sit parked up when the engine is idling if I pump the brake pedal the idle rpm goes up, each time I press the brake pedal the engine rpm increase by about 100 rpm.

Unsure where I will place the tape as the problem is internal to the pump e.g the actual mating face to the hose pops in and out like turtles head in ya trousers.
