    Hi,

Living in France for a bit and just bought a clean 07 Polo tdi 1.4 which gives great fuel mileage but the power is only fair. The air filter was all pigged up which gave me hopes for more power but...no. I'm getting over 50 mpg though.

Has anybody experience with chipping one of these little 3cyl tdi motors? How did it work out? Did power and mileage go up? Which chip vendor did you use? The likelihood of me driving into the UK to get a remap is zilch.

    Thanks,

    Reno

I have an older version (2002) of that motor in an Audi A2 and I know from the A2 forum that many have chipped it up to 90 or 100 bhp from the standard 75, and up to 120 from the more modern 90 bhp version. Obviously, all A2s are older but it should be doable.

Try a Google search using A2, remap and tdi and you should find plenty of leads.

    Personally, I wouldn't go near a 20 quid chip.

Search this forum, take a look at the forum sponsors - I think there are a couple that do remaps - or Google A2OC and remap or tuning. All three of those will give you plenty of advice.
