I need to replace my ccm due to remote locking not working, its been to audi for some other work and while it was there they tried to match my keys to get the reomote locking to work, they said it is a j429 fault and would need a new unit, the tec guy i spoke to said this unit is in the passenger side footwell and that it had been waterlogged,i know it had as i dried it out 18 months ago,all worked apart from the remote locking,i have found a few second hand units online, the only difference to my number which is 4B0962258N is that the ones i found had a different letter at the end like B or H etc, would one of these units work on my vehicle,i know it needs recoding to my vehicle which hopefully wont be a problem,i just dont want to buy a unit and find it wont work due to one figure being different. any help would be appreciated.... thanks

Although an H shares some build codes as your N, the chassis range is different which may affect other systems, so I would tread carefully & tbh buy the replacement that's for your car instead of risking an older non tested version.
