Could anyone please describe to me how to calculate the value for cannel 004 of the back-up camera controller module (J772).

On the Ross-Tech Wiki one and the same page is provided for multiple cars, i.e., the “VW Touareg (7L) Back-Up Camera” page is shown also for Passat cars. On that page calculating the value for channel 004 is exemplified with “20000 - 3200 - 1500 = 15498 mm”. Is the 3200 a constant number that shall be reused disregarded of vehicle model or shall that number be substituted with the wheelbase of the car being calibrated?

What is confusing here is that the VW Touareg (7L) model has a wheel base of 2855. i.e., not the 3200 used in the Wiki page.

Link to the referred to Wiki page: VW Touareg (7L) Back-Up Camera - Ross-Tech Wiki

    Thanks in advance
    /PerJ

As Mitch says, tell us the car.

Also tell us if its aftermarket or OEM, make sure you're using up to date VCDS.

When you go into the camera module you shoul dsee something like Basic Settings, press that and see what appears.
