It could do. But if your BT module is FUBAR or wet, it could be a symptom.

I see your in Manchester. Go and see Craig at TCL Sat Nav (in Sale) he has VAS which will be more accurate in finding the fault.

Cheers Cockney boy. When my missus went out in it the other night, it all worked fine going one way, but it was absolutely bouncing down on the way home. Not sure how it could have got so wet, but certainly sounds feasible. Ta.

I have Craig's number. I'll bell him this week. He did some coding on my car a few years ago when I got it. Top bloke. Thanks again.

If it was me I'd change the gateway, but you'll need VCDS to re enable what you've got installed
BT is a separate entity, its not commanded by the RNS as such, it has programmed interactivity which is what you may call command, but its separate by itself & the functionality is coding depending & doesnt need the rns to make bt work, just maximises the experience when both are fitted.

B7 doesnt have a gateway module, its kline & the main canbus is fed from instruments to certain modules that have there own private bus, its not like newer chassis with high/lo bus for all interconnecting communication including diag, its uses canbus for just signalling between modules & kline for diagnostics & comms as such.

Battery drain due to BT module is a known issue associated with faulty modules.

We can offer to remove, fit latest & fix the issue if interested.

The modules under drivers seat on the B7 usually.
