Good Deal?

Hi guys,

new to the forum so hello!
Looking at buying an '02 A4 1.9 TDi but want to do my homework first! Basically the one I've seen has done 140k miles, has FSH, MOT and tax til April and hes asking for £2095.
I've had a look round it and taken it for a test drive and seems fine but obviously comes with the usual scuff/mark and bit of wheel arch rust expected of a 12 year old car. I did notice some slight 'grumbling' noise when turning the steering wheel on full?!
What other sort of things should I be looking for on this model of car?
Any help/advice would be great!

If your not a badge man you can get a really good deal on a Skoda Superb, same car same spec but 2 grand will get you a 2006 one!

That's late hope the servicing has been better.It should have another belt if its over 5yrs old

Some back-up on the mileage is a must,old mots,these cars can hide a shed load of miles,multitronic walk away unless its a sweet as a nut,the grumbling on full lock is a easy fix,if its a manual check for clutch judder,or any clunking on start up.basically its a very strong car if looked after and will give many more miles.
