In the midst of a 560 mile round trip today and my left knee ligaments are agony, I can only put it down to the offset nature of the pedals.

I had a few old Audi 80s that were uncomfortable with this issue.
My solution in each case was to bend the pedals to allow room for foot to rest on lhs of pedal.
I had to be careful not to damage the switches while doing same
I expect the problem was that the design was was for lhd models that may have had more room for foot rest.
My present A3 does not have this issue
    Regards
    Michael

Damn it, don't reply with pics of that A7!! A bloody great looking car!!
Mines auto too, but the 'rest' position isn't a natural position. Problem as much a symptom of covering 30-50k miles a year for the last 12 or so years.

My stipulation for a car was it has to have a sunroof, imagine my dismay when I found out you can get an A7 with sunroof.....it's next on my list

I find that the clutch pedal hurts my foot a bit when in slow moving traffic, my last car was the same but there again it was a Seat Leon .

I had a 2000 A4 and didn't notice the offset as I do with my 58 reg. It took a few days to get used to it but I don't even notice it now. Granted, I don't drive that much but regardless it's not that noticeable at all now. Btw, mine is a manual.

I've started to notice how the steering wheel isn't inline with the drivers seat - it's over to the left and compared to my other car which has its wheel centered on the driver it really stands out now!

Pedals I don't notice so much and can't compare as my other car is an auto... will pay more attention to them when I next drive it though and see if I can see what you mean!
