    Hi All

I notice recently there is a lot traffic noise when I am sat in the drivers seat and a draught as well. Can the door hinges/latch be adjusted to solve this? Looking at the car with doors closed the drivers side door is slightly out of line (down) compared to the rest of the panels. Easy fix? Can I adjust the door seals?

    Thanks

Hi there, I had a similar issue, but without the wind noise or draught, so perhaps yours has gone further?

I believe it may be the door hinges, I just replaced my drivers side on my A6......See thread below

    Drivers door dropping slightly

    Hope it helps

    Good luck

Update on this - looking down the side of the car the top half of the door sticks out slightly whilst the bottom half is perfectly aligned to the bodywork. Can the top half be adjusted by moving the striker in/out slightly, I have noticed the striker is slightly off centre at the moment.

    Cheers

Try opening your door just a little bit, then try to lift it and see if you get any movement?

It may be that the top hinge has worn and needs replaced.

I have came across more lower hinge issues it seems as there seems to be many for sale on the Bay, not so much with the top

Getting back to the top hinge, there is a little grub screw ( underneath a plastic cap ) that can be screwed back in, perhaps with a little loctite but if thtas the issue its only a very temporary measure and will need replaced.

Maybe others with either different experiences will chime in to help you get a fix.

    Good luck
