  1. HDD Sat Nav constantly losing "Home" favourite

As subject. Ours frequently loses the user defined "home" location (bookmark) from the favourites option. Only got told about this today when I tried to use it, Wife says no, doesn't work.

It's been set about 5 times and now she's given up. There was a period of time (prior to the latest software) when the sat nav needed to boot a little more before recognising the bookmark, after about 15 seconds from being able to use the thing - trying to go into "home" bookmark before that time would give the error that a home location had not been defined, now apparently it does it all the time. Admittedly it's not been programmed a 6th time, but it sounds like it'll just lose it again.

Oh, and whilst I'm at it, got a photo of the screen getting stuck on boot up now, is this a known issue? Needs the button pressed again to make it go back in and then out again. Sticks about 5mm out of its housing.

Connect your phone, set the home position, turn off bluetooth on the phone and see if it stays, if not, reconnect phone and it should appear again.

I think it was Mark who said things like that mate with the phone which is connected at the time.

I'll get her to give it a go. But it's a car thing, the favourites I mean, not a connected phone thing as far as I can see.

Yeah but they're odd like that. My C6 does it depending on which phone is connected ie saved destinations and whatnot.

What if we don't have a phone connected when we set it up?

To be honest, I we don't really care, the house has been selected so many times it's always in the recent destinations anyway, but it's the "vagueries" of the system.

    Any idea on the screen?

Storing up a list of items. Need them to re-affix the rear bumper too, keeps coming away from the body. Fourth time's a charm, right?
