Noise from wheel when turning right and left.

Hi boys. Today car stearing wheel start making annoying noise when I turning. I can hear it inside but when I open windows I can't hear it outside. It is not loud noise. it feels like same dirt rubbing between somewhere. .

Might it be the problem the tyres cos I today changed front two tyres for slightly smaller size they went from 225/50/17 to 225/45/17? But back ones stayed the same.

Why didn't you put the correct size on? Your insurance won't be happy about that nor will your drivetrain if your car is quattro.

I got front wheel drive. And I needed to change front two tyres for winter ones. For couple months. And I had chance to get two for 20 £ and the boys said that it shouldn't be any problems with putting on a different size on front and back. So I went for it. What you think Chris? I messed up?

Well if you were unfortunate enough to be in an accident your insurance may be null and void as you're not using the recommended/correct tyre sizes.

I suggest getting the car into a garage as we can't diagnose a sound over the internet
