Hi, the conversion to Bose its not easy, most off the wiring has to come from the donor car, also the carpet has to be removed to allow for fitting the wiring, all the speakers(apart from the front tweeters) have to be transplanted and all that for no much improvement...I dont say Bose does not sound good, but for the ammount of work thats involved, its not worth it ! Buy a set of front components like Boston Acoustic, MB Quart, Diamond Audio for about 200-250 pounds and replace the standard head unit with a aftermarket one. Then buy a good amp/subwoofer combo and you set, much more volume, control and clarity for 500-600 pounds that the Bose cannot match ! I have the Bose sound system and does not sound bad, its better with an aftermarket head unit but i had better sounding gear than that fitted on my previous car. My missus car(1998 vw passat) has the standard speakers, and a Phase Linear 600W amplifier and a perspex box with Audiobahn subwoofers and a sony head unit + a stiffening capacitor. All sounds way better than in the audi, all gear 500 quid.
