My 2001 tdi 100 has developed a shudder when driving at low revs in 5 th gear, it also shudders when pressing and releasing the accelerator.
I can not see any excessive movement of the gear stick so do not suspect engine mounting problems. Would the DMF be the obvious culprit
    or are there cheaper options?

Sorry, I posted in the wrong Forum, can this be moved to the B5/B5.5 Forum, please
