    Hi chaps,
    After some advice.

I am looking to fit some parking sensors to my A1 and ideally would like the OEM kit because of several features (putting it in reverse you hear the beep signalling the parking sensors are enabled, and it dims the music so you can hear the sensors) These features you can only get using the OEM kit.

    OEM Retro kit
    + keeps it all OEM
+ Beebs when moving into reverse gear
    + dims audio
    - £215
    - Each sensor sits proud of the bumper slightly

Buy a Cobra kit and they sit flush in the bumper
    + £99 + spaying free
    + Flush in bumper
    - Will not bee when moving into Reverse Gear
    - Will no dim music

The down side is they arent flush on the bumper like the factory fitted ones.

Although this still looks nice, i would ideally like a flush look.

So my question is, could i purchase another model of parking sensor which Audi do and use these 3M clasps to hold them in place giving me the flush look and OEM features

A1 pdc modules are hard to come by so go for the Cobra Flush, they're VAG anyway and do beep when enabled as my A3 has them fitted and dim the music yourself, you have controls on your steering wheel!

Btw just because OEM is fitted doesn't mean you'll get the visual lines on the mmi screen.

mjhamilton fitted cobra flush to his a4 cab, do a search for cobra and you'll find his thread.

Thanks Chris for the quick reply.

The cobra sets go on Ebay for £90 ~ so in comparison to the look and the £215 cost (+ spray costs) its a much better compromise!

OEM sensors go for £40 each (yes each) usually, you then need two looms at £30 each then the pdc module itself so if you're seeing it all at £215 then it's either a non oem kit or just really lucky. Feel free to PM me the link if you want.
