Can anyone help with the torque setting for the sump plug on the 2.0TDI 55rg also the filter housing. Although I think it's stamped on there, car not here so can't check.

While I'm at it I've search for torque settings but can't find anything has anyone got a link to such info for all or most of the common torque settings likely to be needed
    cheers

the big plastic top thing with the filter inside ?
thats only 25nm . the seal does the sealing, that cap just holds everything in place.

Oil filters are usually hand tight, but I suppose that depends on the size of your gripper.

i am talking about a paper element oil filter with a plastic top rather than a metal cannister oil filter, which is indeed hand tight.

^^^ I just make a note of the orientation of the arrow/triangle on the filter housing and retighten to the same position, never a problem and have done 4 times. With the sump it was supposedly 19nm on mine but when I tightened to that it still seeped oil slowly and increased couple of nm a time until didn't seep.
