    Hello,
Can somebody advise me please how to tell if my car has a DPF filter?
It is 1.9 tdi 05 Reg 77kw(103bhp), engine code BKC. And where can find 5W40 Specification VW507 00 engine oil ?

    welcome to vwaf

you need to check the data sticker in the spare wheel well, if you see 7GN anywhere then you DO NOT have a DPF, if you don't see it then you do.

btw the 1.9 takes 5w30 and this is what you need QUANTUM LONGLIFE 3 FULLY SYNTHETIC 5W-30 vw/audi/ seat/skoda | eBay

I think some BXE and later BLS models (both Bluemotion and non-Bluemotion) had them fitted which is why a check of the data sticker will confirm.

That's right the Blue motion, but they are not that common. I think the blue motion Polo's are more common

Thanks for quick respond everyone !

A6-Chris, why 5w30? I read somewhere 5w40 is better for the PD? For some reason VW offers me 5w30 longlife service and 5w40 normal(10000 miles) service. It is so confusing.

5W30 is for both LL and fixed servicing, Audi fill my car (1.9 BLS w/ DPF) with 5W30, they also fill my A6 3.0 with 5W30 both on fixed regimes.
