    Hi all
I still have a problem with water getting into the passenger footwell. I have followed the advice and removed the two drain plugs in the plenum chamber one of which was blocked and washed out thoroughly and the water now drains properly. The the problem still persists albeit not quite as bad as before. The carpet seems to start wet quite high up on the inner sill just under the door towards the front. The door seals seem fine. Really would appreciate your help.

    Hi all
I have removed the pollen filter housing completely and found a build up of leaves and other crap at the back forming a dam and holding back the water. There is a foam seal with a black waterproof backing at the base of the housing. Although the foam was wet it seemed to be in relatively good condition so cleaned everything up and replaced everything. I thoughT that i had solved the problem but the next time it rained the water was back. Before i start using silicone is there anywhere else the water could be coming from? Where does the water drain from the cabriolet roof? Any help would be much appreciated :-)

I have ordered a new pollen filter housing both parts from Audi, should be here Wednesday or Thursday. Logically its the only place that the rain is getting through. Will let you know if it fixes the problem.

I fitted the new parts but the problem turned out to be a blocked drain from the roof. In a very heavy downpour i noticed water run into the footwell from under the A pillar trim. It turns out that the drain was completely bunged up with crap causing the rainwater to back up and enter footwell. The car in now water tight, anyone with a CABRIOLET might benefit from checking those roof drains out out.

    Hi
The roof drains start at the top of the windscreen pillars on either side. They look like small holes. If you open the doors you can follow them.down to above the door hinges . They appear to funnel out or get wider towards the bottom. You can gently lift the bottom up and clean any accumulated crud out. This was definetly the cause of my problem and is now cured.
    Hope it helps
    Regards
