    Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I have recently purchases a 98 A3 110 TDi hatchback which has been maintained well mechanically but needs some TLC on the body.

The previous owner had a parking ding on the rear passenger side and knocked off the lower trim and broken all the clips. The trim itself is fine but I need 4 new clips.

When I called my local Audi they wanted £22 for the clips which feels a bit steep, I've seen a quite a few variations sold online and wondered if anyone new the type of clips needed or could point me in the direction that won't be quite so steep as I've seen some as low as £2.60 but honestly not sure if they are the right type.

Thanks in advance for any help, I have been trying to find a parts manual or Audi shop manual that show's the parts but to no avail.

vagcat should tell you the part numbers if you wade through a few pages of diagrams.

There are plenty of online automotive clip suppliers, I know I've seen some before with pictures of the clips for you to match up. Although for such a low volume of 4 clips, plus postage, plus hassle, it might be better just to get the correct ones from the main dealer. Or you could visit your local scrap yard if you've got one.

Nick, thank you for the recommendation, that will actually help no end!

Going to call VW in the morning and see how much they are, failing that there is a supplier from Poland that has them at £1 a piece when Audi wanted £22 for all 4...may end up getting them from them. Just begrudge that much!
