wanting to replace my wing mirrors as the demisting hardly works,

so searching for replacements and found that i have the smaller wing mirrors (mine have indicators on them) like on the B6 model....can this be or is min a b5.5 type,

not sure now as the B5 dont have indicators on wing mirrors do they...

mine is a 2004(54) awx engine 130 highline.

not sure which mirrors i need now, they are heated ones....

i think these might be them as they look the same size, the B5 set are wider and wont fit mine

pop your mirror glass out, read the part number, use google to find a replacement.

well, I'm not sure about the B6 mirror, but the B5.5 and the A3 and the A6 were all:

push the side nearest the window inwards,
get your fingers behind the glass furthest from the window
    pull

I've never broken one on any of my cars. They're only held on by 8 tiny plastic lugs around the adjuster.

The later B5.5 do use the same door mirrors as the B6, I replaced the glass on both of mine with non-OEM, they work but are very slow clearing, the resistance must be very high compared with the OEM glass.
