    Hi

i am buying wiper blades from eurocar parts nearly every year, usualy the bosch ones and it keeps wearing out

so wondering to either buy original audi ones or buy a quality branded one as someone told me so they last a long time.

    any ideas?

    thanks

    and the problem is ?
bosch are good, as good as they get. wipers should be replaced every year anyway as they do wear out.

some blades do last a bit longer, but the bosch ones do work better to start with, giving you better visibility. some factors come into play mainly how good your screen is. are there any scratches in it, cracks, any roughness as you run your hand over it ? if so, this will wear blades out as they are constantly wiping over this. a good clean with some proper screen cleaner is worth a go. i use autoglym glass polish for this job. this leaves a rain repellent coating that makes water bead up and disperse. if the screen is that bad then it might be worth getting a new one. i have used the bosch blades and do rate them above anything else, but as i said, one year is all you can expect them to last. people do get longer but can they see where they are going when it rains ?

Another vote for Bosch from me, as Zol says they should be replaced yearly anyway.

Rain repellent of some description is an excellent suggestion.

I use carlack on mine, with wipers only ever being used around town when I'm moving too slowly for it to work.

I'm on the same blades she came with nearly 3 years ago. Blades are intact and still clean my screen.

Did the same with the polo, although she only stayed with me for a little under two years <sob>

    Different car, same principle.

    Bosch aerotwin here...

With regard to rain repellant, do you apply it over the rain sensor as well? I heard it can cause problems if you do.
