    Hi,

Lately my battery keeps dying on my mk4 golf 2001. i have fully charged it the 1st time it died, and it was fine for about 3 days and this morning it just wouldnt start, so i have to jump start it. i assume the battery has had its day and probably need to replace it, does anyone have any suggestions?

    Cheers

If it took a charge from your battery charger, it's possible that the battery is fine and the alternator may be faulty, not charging the battery sufficiently...

get a volt meter on the battery terminals with the engine running, (just above idle, say 2/3k rpm) and the voltage should read around 13.7 Volts.

If your not getting that, it's the alternator.
