My SE has the tech pack and there's only the AMI port. I think it must be the same for the S line

Without the tech pack you have a 12V power outlet in the storage space under the centre armrest. Plug a USB adapter into that.

Depends what you want it for. If it is to charge a phone then A ScottyA6 says there is a 12v socket in the arm rest which you could plug a USB adaptor into. As standard it also gets a 3.5mm input jack in the armrest for music devices but this of course does not give you MMI control over what you are playing. If it is to play music then you need to spec AMI and this comes as standard with two cables, one for Apple devices and one to plug a USB cable into for other MP3 players and storage device. As an alternative the car comes as standard with 2 SD card sots, one is used for Navigation and the other is free for music or videos.

In the central arm rest, there is of course also that 12V point as well. I have a USB adapter in it which charges my phone while the AMI powers / manages the 2.5 HDD with all the music.
FYI there is also (at least) one other 12V at the rear of the armrest, facing the back seats (you get 2 if you spec the storage pack I think)

You can get quite nice low profile 12v car->usb adapters now that provide 2 USB ports @1A and mount (fairly) flush to the 12V socket. Quite cheap on ebay on a few quid.

Having done a little more research, the cheaper ones can be a problem. Belkin do a genuine 2.1A adapter, Griffen do a 1.0A adapter; there are a fakes out there so just be careful when buying.

I've ordered a Belkin one for 18.99 with a lightning (ipad 4) cable so will report back once arrived.
