    Hi Chaps

Given my woes with iphone and the Discover pro unit, I'm worried that updating to iOS7 will remove more features such as actually working at all...

Has anyone tried iOS7 with the discover pro unit and does it work? Any chance that it makes contact photos work?

Pretty sure the contact photos still won't work, as for this to appear (as I understand it), the phone needs to support the rSAP protocol which Apple doesn't support in it's IOS devices.

As regards whether IOS 7 will work, I do know a few people that have already upgraded and it still connects and works fine (i.e. no features lost), but personally, I'm going to wait for a while on mine until it's been out a while longer and any issues found by the early adopters are ironed out.

Thanks for the reply... at least going to iOS7 wont make the phone totally useless then! I hate that you can't roll back to previous iOS releases if you come across a problem!

I'm not sure about the rSAP being the issue for contact photos/contact addresses etc - rSAP is a remote sim access protocol and as far as I'm aware, the contact photos are not stored on the sim? Nonetheless, I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has jailbroken their iphone and got rSAP running and working to see if it does increase the functionality of the phone with the VW system.

found two apps on cydia. Tried one of them on my 4s but did not work. Other app is not compatible with 4s. Only 4 and 3gs.

My feelings also - I currently own an iPad 4 and iPhone 4, neither of which have been upgraded yet, plus I have an iPhone 5S on order - now which will I see first, the iPhone or the Golf?

My son has upgraded his iPhone 4 and iPad 2 with no problems at all - I was thinking of doing mine pretty soon, but think I'll give it a few days yet.

Does anyone know if iPhone 5S comes with iOS 7 on it or does it have to be upgraded?

5S will come with iOS7. Go ahead and upgrade, everything worked fine on both the A7 and the Golf after I upgraded, even remembered the bluetooth pairing in both cars.

jk88, when you updated to IOS 7, did it wipe everything off the phone, or did all email accounts, photos, contacts, apps etc remain ?

    Thanks.
