    Right I need a genius !

I have a 2008 a6 with the mmi system , it has sat nav 6 disk changer and ami with an ipod connected. It's driving me nuts !!!

Start up all good! Radio cd ipod whatever but drive for ten minutes and all of a sudden the radio switches to cd on its own ? Turn it back all ok give it ten minutes and back to cd !!

No drinks spilt on controls. Have tried tapping them whacking them and wiggling them in case something iffy with the controls but no effect. I have also read out the fault memory and no faults found!!

Hoping for suggestions pls or if any one has had this bdfore
    thanks all

    James

Get a scan anyway, could be a software glitch or something

Isolate the cdc hanger by placing one of theses n the fibre ring connector Fiber MOST optic loop AUDI MMI 2G, 3G, 3G+ A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q3, Q5,Q7 | eBay and see if the problem persists.

Thanks will be getting it checked out ASAP I'm a tech myself but not Audi so no vas or vcds only kts and autodiagnos which are good but not as in depth. Makes it very annoying to pay for something I know I can sort. All my gear is brilliant at engine, air bag etc just or so hot on the peripheral systems !

No harm in trying with your kit but I wouldn't hold out much hope.

If you look at the link in my forum signature you'll see our vcds user map link, see if there's anyone on there near.
