Was in the humour for a spot of modding this morning so i fitted my MFSW and the full MFD while i was at it. This also meant changing the steering wheel control module too.......all in all i have to say its a really handy job ! Had it all done in an hour .........Taking the clocks out is the easiest part i have to say. Anyway its all in now and all i have to do is get the odometer set to the correct mileage which will be done by the guy who mapped it for me. I've gained 40k overnight. Anyway , anyone thinking of doing it, its well worth it and not that difficult at all......

How much was it, where did you get it from and how does it interact with your Chinese head unit?

    +1

I see you're in Ireland as well Richie so I'd be very interested to know where you got these from and for how much, as I have a 06 Comfortline Passat myself that I wouldn't mind getting the MFD/MFSW for.

A few more pic's..............Got the parts in a breakers, cost €200. I know they have one set of clocks and a module there but no steering wheel left. Plenty of others anyway so wont be hard to find. Seems to work well with the head unit i have to say. Info is displayed on the mfd and everything can be accessed through the steering wheel buttons. I didn't try the phone button yet to see can it answer a call, so not sure there ?
Only thing that puzzles me is the funny symbol at the top of the display when in the head unit functions, will have to ask the ebay seller about that........

@ Kaiser........if you need any help give me a shout if you're going to do it.

Richiemac: I've noticed that below the time slot, you also have the date on there. Both of the Passat's I had doesn't show the date, only the time!

    Was this optional?
