2009 Audi A5 front-side Window Sills seems a bit weird - just noticed it today when it is raining.

There is a grove like gap between outer flash rubber sill where chrome strip sits and the rubber bit that sits flash with the glass is slightly rough. Any rain water goes through inside the door and drips through the whole in the bottom door weather sill.

is that normal A5 design? Never seen anything like this in any of my previous cars. Or is there anything missing there?

here is couple of pictures ...

    Can anyone please confirm?

    Many Thanks in advance.

I have a 2012 A5, the setup shown in your photo looks the same on mine, I tried to get some photos but they don't show much, but it is the same as yours.
    Now I have - 2014 Audi A6 3.0 TDI V6 Quattro S-Line (Silver)
Previously 2012 Audi A8L 3.0 TDI Quattro SE Executive (Silver)
