Goodbye faithful friend

As people may have seen in the Chat section I have decided to (regretfully) part ways with my A4 B5 in favour of an 06 Sharan.
I genuinely dont want to do it but family safety has to come first,
I'll miss the old girl but I've learnt a lot being under her for the last 3 yrs.
I wanted a VAG car coz I know the engine pretty well now (and I wanted to stay on this forum as well so I will be lurking on this page)
I'll hold onto her till after the Audi record attempt this weekend then its

Sad moment for you... I'm sure she'll enjoy the weekend and would be a perfect event to make the last good memory.

I know it is bit lame to feel emotional parting with some thing inanimate, but I felt I lost a part of me when I drove my old Rover 200 (!!) to the scrap yard...

Last Wednesday we said goodbye to my wife's faithul old B5 1.9TDi. 150K on the clock & still going strong. We've replaced it with a 58 plate Passat TDi 140 but I still have my A4 - a 1.8T quattro sport.

I think the only way to have fun in the sharan will be to take out all the seats, find a matresss and go for a spin with the miissus

Well we gave the A4 a good send off, it wa spart of the successful record attempt last Sunday. 301 Audis in a row is some sight to see (it would have ben 305 but there were two crashes ) Id hope Audi will help out with the parts.

The after event entertainment was good with plenty of food and sweets for the kids (well mostly for the kids )
