    ok,picked up a 2002 mk4 gt tdi 130 from my dad tonight, driving home a little tired on the m/way..just got through the 40 mph limit on roadworks going up the gears 4th,5th..wanted 6th but shifted 5th to 4th guess im not used to a 6 spd box, i was doing at a guess 70 ish caught it quick and reselected 6th..any damage? car seems fine but im mr paranoid , please put my mind at rest ive been sat here trawling the net for answers...i was not " driving it like i stole it" as it were just getting back up to speed from road works, i didnt catch the rpm but i am pretty sure i stuck the clutch back in the second i felt the engine braking..would i know if i had damaged the engine? keep reading about the "money shift" dammed internet..i wont sleep until im 100% sure i have not broken it..its a one lady owner(friend) 71000k fsh and i got it cheap.

    you'll be fine.... if there was any damage you would know by now as it would sounds like a bag of spanners
