Glow plug problem on 2007 2.0tdi DSG

Hi, could anyone throw any light on this problem?

Car is 2007 2.0 tdi Sport DSG Estate

Engine fault light is on constantly

VCDS shows a glow plug fault on No 1

I took off the engine cover and (after a major struggle) the cam cover to reveal the glow plugs.

I measured the resistance of each plug in turn and they all read the same (about 0.3 ohms) so I assume the fault is not the plug itself.

Following the cabling back from the side of the cam cover is a nightmare, especially with no circuit diagram.

Is there a relay hidden somewhere and is each plug controlled separately or do they all come on together?

Check the loom

Check they are all 7v plugs, if someone has put 4.4v ones in cos they are cheaper you will get the codes still.
