Hi, i've put a deposit on a 2006 Audi A6 2.7Tdi Quattro after killing my 57' A6 2.0 S-line in flood water :S. I bought a Saab 93 convertible as an interim car and fitted a Parrot MKi9200 to it, and apart from the saab stereo being really pants, it worked well for music over bluetooth. The new A6 has already got bluetooth for phone, but i don't think it's suitable for music over bluetooth and it has no aux / AMI, but it does have Bose speakers.

I want to remove the parrot from the saab, buy the appropriate leads and have it working through my new audi, so, firstly, what lead do i need, (SOT-906?) and is it a simple job or do i need to connect my car to a VAGCOM machine to enable Aux or anything? (i did on my saab). Has anyone got the same setup?

I had DAB installed on my old A6 too but it isn't on my new one, is it just a matter of buying the DAB module and aeriel like Genuine audi DAB radio tuner module A6 S6 RS6 A8 S8 Q7 A5 A4 S5 S RS4 | eBay, and fitting it?

    Regards, Wez

You won't be disappointed with the AMI, adding the parrot to mmi is a phaff I believe and requires an expensive adapter lead.

Something like this is significantly cheaper than AMI but still uses the same interface and looks 100% OEM - will be buying one next month for my a6. VNS AMI Audi MMI 2G iPod iPhone Interface A5 A6 A8 Q7 | eBay

That dab link is everything you need.

I don't have AMI, i did in my old A6, not in this one, and i don't have an iphone / ipod, only a Samsung Galaxy S4. I Believe it's the SOT-906 lead i need which is £45?

Yep that looks like the one - remember you'll need he extension lead as you'll be working from the boot area to wire it in.

According to this - Autoleads SOT-906/BOSE Audi A6 Parrot SOT Lead

Under the compatibility tab- you'll need the extension lead as you'll be plugging it directly into the amplifier apparently.
