A4 B8 2009 TDI In the last couple of months my diesel fuel filler door has been sticking closed/locked. The only way I can open it is to lock/unlock the central locking whilst tapping the door. Normally, after three or four attempts it will release and then open. I have lubricated the outside parts and it all operates smoothly and latches well. Its only when the central locking is activated again that it refuses to open. I am aware there is a manual pull release inside the boot. I guess I need to get to the locking components in behind the filler neck. How is this best achieved anyone?? Thanks

Thanks for the link that is helpful. Can anyone confirm that if I remove the plastic housing by means of releasing the single torx bolt and the four plastic tabs, I can repair, clean, adjust or replace the solenoid and mechanism from the outside?? Thanks. PS Any pictures??
