    Hi

Does anyone have the torque figure for the 5x Bolts that hold the rear hub to the trailing arm? I am changing mine tomorrow!
    Thanks

I don't know what the figure is but a good way is to use a dial type torque wrench when you take it apart in order to measure the torque.

BTW, I did call the dealer and they stated that they do not replace but rather re-use the bolts. Total cost was $110 with 2-day shipping and about an hour+ of my time.

    how to:
    - jack up car and place on jack stands
    - remove wheel
    - remove caliper, pads, and rotor (see excellent how-to on this site)
    - use wire or bungy cord to support caliper
    - crawl under car and remove ABS sensor from back of hub. There is a plastic clip that you remove first. Then use a small flat blade screw driver to gently pry out the sensor.
    - rotate the hub so that the large holes line up with the 5 bolts
    - Use an 8mm socket on an extension (I used a 6") to remove the bolts and the hub.
    - Installation is the reverse. Torque bolts to 60 Nm.
    - Hardest part for me was getting the ABS sensor all the way back into the hub, its a tight fit.
    - Will need to retract caliper piston to get caliper and pads back on per the how-to, use the right tool (I used the rental brake kit from Advance that included an 8mm socket).
So 60 Nm looks like the value

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

Many thanks for that...I was going to do about 65Nm

Not a good way to check torque figures...the bolts are thread locked on & have 8 years of corrosion & muck to break first.
