Had the car a month now and have to say I like it a lot. It replaced a MK 6 match in steel grey. Feels a lot more roomy inside than the mk6 even though the increase in dimensions is next to nothing. Not a fan of the all white lighting on the switch gear, its a little stark & clinical much preferred the red lighting & no ambient foot well lighting. Don't know if the white instrument lighting has changed from the mk6, just seems a little more bluish white than the yellowy white of the mk 6. Not convinced the boot is 30 litres bigger than the mk 6. Stop start I find ok in normal traffic but tend to switch it off in stop/start traffic. Electronic handbrake seems to work very well although I still reach for the lever on occasions. It doesn't seem as sporty as the mk 6 more of a refined cruiser. Much prefer the normal accelerator pedal to the floor mounted one in the mk 6. So far average MPG is in the region of 50 to 54 which I have to say is great.

Great cars aren't they. I've got the 150 GT apart from a slight rattle/vibration on the dash (soon to be resolved) I absolutely love it. Build quality is class I actually prefer it to the A3 S Line I test drove.

That's stunning. My last mk6 was in steel grey and I do think grey suits the car down to the ground. A friend on mine has just picked up a new Passat estate in island grey, funny I changed from grey to blue he's changed from blue to grey.

Cheers. Yeah I agree I think it really suits the car. Was tempted to get the Serron alloys but couldn't quite stretch the budget but I'm more than happy with the Dijon alloys.

Hope to get a GTI one day though
