Has anyone changed there round wheel to a flat bottom type? Was it plug and play or did it need coding (both will be multifunction)
Does it make the steering any harder I cannot find wheel diameters but I assume the flat bottom is smaller?
And does the flat bottom make parking harder?

    Should be a straight swap.

I drove an A3 with a FBMFSW and found it no different from a round 'wheel.

It makes it more difficult to steer with your knees.
Not that I would ever do such a thing.

    Great thanks for the info.

Now does anyone have a flat wheel but not like it and would like to swap? Worth an ask before I hit the evilbay.

Watch out, I think most of the FBSW's on ebay are from TT's because it's been standard on the current generation from at least 2009 (maybe earlier) so there a lot more of the available from scrapped cars and "other" ,cough, sources. The TT connector pinout is different so pins need to be re-arranged though it is do-able.

Most of the FBMFS wheels are around £430 - £460. If you go to audi and plead poverty like I did you can get a brand new one with airbag and 2 year warranty for around £500 + VAT I know that that is £600 but if you can claim back the vat then bobs your uncle and fannys your aunt
NOW GONE 2007 A6 2.7TDi Avant Le Mans Edition (180)

Mods:- ECU Remap, Rear Air Suspension, Rear Led Lights, Rear View Camera, Rear Privacy Glass, Titanium wheels, Colour Coded Fog Light Surrounds, FBMFSW, AMI, DAB, Chrome S6 pedals, Front Grille De-chrome, window surround de-chrome.

Good idea, I will probably just do that then sell my old one. It's in mint condition so should sell.

I was going to sell mine, but thought I would hang on to it and change it back when I change my car. Then either sell it or fit it to my new car if possible
