Good morning chaps, i have a small issue with my allroad, basically the 10A fuse in the side fuse panel keeps blowing and the car is not self leveling anymore. The bags does not loose air and when i plug in a new 10A fuse the compressor kick in as it should and the car lifts/lowers as it should. I had a few months ago the 40A fuse blow due to lifting the back when replacing both tyres at the back, both fuses blown then, replaced them and the suspension been ok till now ! Any ideas ? Thanks !

according to the diagram there are 3 X 10 amp fuses, fuses: S5, S7 & S17 can you tell what one it is blowing?, one is for the ECU one for the up/down switches and one for ESP (going by the diagram anyway. I can mail to you if you don't have it, its to large to attach here, PM me your e-mail)

Not that I have a solution for you, but it may point to an area to look for a potential issue, any error codes?

    Regards

    Andy

Thanks Andy, the one that blows is the 2nd fuse down on 2nd row of fuses from left to right ! It also supplies power to the parking sensors as they don't work anymore when the fuse blows ! No faults last time i've checked but i will scan it again tomorrow ! Thanks for your help...

I think that is position S17, powers the ECU I think, which on mine it suggest navigation also, so worth a look at check parking sensor module and radio for error codes too? it may be one of these units rather than the suspension at fault, worth a look

    regards

Hi Andy, it's funny you mentioned the parking sensors, i had them working on or off and no issues with the suspension, also fitted a factory satnav as well and that works well too (done it after the problem started !), however i have a fault on front/rear leveling sensors, they seem to trigger the fuse to blow ! If i put a new fuse the suspension works just fine for a while, however there seems to be something shorting there if it keeps blowing the fuse ! Just the right timing, i have a friend who offered me good money for the allroad but with the condition i sell it with all the mods which cost me like a few grand !

You will probably end up looking after the car after he buys it anyway, so will have get to the bottom of this issue sooner or later.
All the extras you put in the car over years never add to value when you sell.

Just an update: the chap that wanted the car changed his mind so it did me a big favor as i would not feel happy getting rid with all the mods on it. Since that i have been using the car every so often, sold the AFB injectors fitted with Bosio power plus nozzles and the gt2056 hybrid then made another gt2260 and got some race nozzles + a 4 Bar map sensor. Looking back i wish i stuck with the pp683 nozzles, the allroad has a 3 plunger pump so can push a lot of fuel, with the larger turbo and nozzles i got a bit of smoke under 2000rpm's + the clutch is complaining too ! On the plus side, the suspension is back working fine but the compressor is a bit noisy and requires a rebuild- i have Andy's kit just lack time to fit !
Last upgrades are rns e sat nav and a mint rs6+ interior with matching door cards- transformed the way old girl looks and feels on long trips. Also aquired a pair of BDG heads from a hydrolocked engine so i will start porting them very soon. I also have my eyes on a set of arnots gen2 airbags, not that i want the car to be any bumpier but i would love to tighten the back end a touch more. I will use new genuine rear shocks at the same time, however i am still thinking to sell the engine and start from scratch. Next on the cards is new clutch and flywheel...
