I took my A6 to a Hunter alignment garage yesterday and there's a possible issue with the left rear camber. Before adjustment it was reading as -1 deg 18' and after it is reading -1 deg 16' (the right rear for comparison is -1 deg 5'). This is outside the recommended range for it but they said it wasn't by much. The issue is they have reached the limit of adjustment for it and said they would probably need to weld something on to give them more adjustment on the (bolt?).

While I understand what he's talking about in general, I'm hoping someone here may be sufficiently knowledgeable and/or have specific experience of this to be able to recommend the right solution for the job?

I had noticed a greater wear rate on that wheel so I wasn't surprised when the results came back (I always check the tread depths when I swap my winter/summer wheel and tyre sets). I have also noticed a slight vibration through the car that doesn't come from the steering. My wife kerbed both nearside wheels a while back but I didn't think she'd done them that badly as the marks on the wheels were only slight.

Although the right rear camber is in the green zone, the arrow position is not that far off getting into the red zone as well and both of the toe settings are on the same side too. I'll plug my scanner in and post a picture when I can move the cat out of the way..

Is the eccentric bolt moving the wheel carrier?
Only 3 things that can effect this -
    1. the eccentric bolt has been damaged (or replaced with normal bolt).
    2. the wheel carrier is damaged.
    3. the Traverse control arm is bent as to shorten the movement distance.

    Finally got my scanner working:

I've also come across this as a possible solution - advice welcome as I have no knowledge or experience of anything like this:
