AUDI ESP flashing

Greetings:
twice over the past few weeks while driving on the xpressway, it seemed as if my 2001 A6 2.7T hesitated briefly and the ESP light flashed. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if you can make any recommendations on what to do.

in regards to the OP, it sounds like the ESP is doing its job to me, it will flash when working and you will feel the power limited, it helps to stop wheel slip
