    Hi Guys,

Wondering if anyone can help, I have a friend who owns a 58 plate S5. He is looking to activate the electrics for the trailer at the rear of the car, I have looked on the Roos Wiki site but have been unable to find any relevant information.

    Audi A5 (8T) Trailer - Ross-Tech Wiki

Does anybody know the long coding required to activate the trailer on a S5?

    Cheers

Go into the CAN gateway and enable the trailer module. After an ignition off and on, the new module will appear on the modules page and you can do the coding from there.

Thanks Chris you mentioned in your reply that I would be able to do the coding from that module after its activated, I'm not 100% clued up with vcds hence the reason I'm asking this, but wouldn't I still need the long coding in order to proceed with the coding?

    Thanks

If the trailer module supports long coding, it will be shown when you hit the Coding button on the trailer page.

Enable it first in the CAN Gateway and see what sort of coding the trailer module supports.
