Well after 3.5 years and 58,000 miles it's time to move on and I have succumbed to a "new" (2yr old) end of an era Saab 9-5. Nostalgia got the better of me having owned Saab's before the CC and it is definitely a case of heart ruling head!!!

So, 3.5 years is the longest I've ever owned a car as usually I get picky and bored and move on but I have to say the CC has been great. It still looks fresh and modern, the driving position seemss to fit like a glove and the diesel and gearbox are perfect for what I need them for. Best of all is is the easy 50mpg and the superb RCD510 with Fiscon bluetooth. In fact I'm struggling to fault it and was going down the track of getting another one but in GT spec when nostalgia got the better of me.

So if you're thinking about a CC, then I'd definitely recommend it and if you'd like to see mine check out autotrader ;-))

While I cant help everyone else much the one top recommendation I discovered was Barum Bravuris tyres. I've had them on for 30k and still have plenty of life left on them and they have been quiet and trouble free, stopping at least as well as anything else. The one boon is that they have two versions in the 17", one with a slightly lower load index (91 i think) which makes them a bit softer and suits my driving style a little better. Best of all they are £350 ish for 4 from National tyres and as they are made by Continental (in the same factory I think) my guess is that they are just Continental premiumcontact's from a few years ago re-badged. A bit like putting last years Audi engine in a Seat ;-)

Happy CC'ing everyone.
