A Nissan, a VW and an Audi walk into a bar. Except they don't. The VW and Nissan might, but the Audi would be so late to the bar it would have closed, even in France.

Using the same settings (as far as I can tell) as last year, just with updated maps, we're a laughing stock. Keeps sending us on hilarious detours that make no sense at all and as I write this, we're not allowed to lead the group of cars. The amount of times the rest of the group have flashed, made interesting gestures or just plain given up and gone their own way is difficult to count.

The VW is on the same maps as we had last year I believe, the Nissan is a 2010 model.

Frequently we turn around and follow the rest of the group and the time to destination drops by minutes each time, sometimes as much as 30 minutes. This is using the "fastest" setting, and before you ask the toll roads are not disabled in the settings.

Looks as if Tele-Atlas has made a mess of the speed limits in the database. Is the speed limit display on Sat Nav screen showing the right speeds for the roads you are driving on? Also have you set the option for it to give you alternative routes when you set your destination, that way you may be able to select a more sensible route.

The speeds are correct whilst you are on a road, but I know what you mean.

And yes, we have the option to select a route enabled from three, BUT the selection screen is so zoomed out (as it's always been by design, so I'm not moaning) that you can barely tell if it's going to skirt around a city centre or try and take you straight through it - which it frequently does. It's bound to be a setting, something that was changed. Or, it's now just the usual Audi paranoia we enjoy.
