Drivers door not locking/mirror not operating

I suspect that I have broken wires between drivers door and pillar.Has anyone got ideas?
the other problem I have is a annoying creaking noise coming from drivers side strut area.Can anyone help or suggest how to solve.

Have you took the rubber gator off and inspected the wires?

You'd be best getting a fault code scan just to be sure.

Can't comment on the strut sorry!

Drivers mirror should work, but passengers wont if the can wires are down, but of course if its broken power wires then everything on the door will cease.

Do the door switches light up at night, does the window work?

Bushes in this weather creak a bit more with dust/dryness, could be various things so needs inspecting properly.

The mirror or the central locking not working on the drivers side.It will lock manually .I paid local dealer £40 around a yr ago to fix similar problem,but then electric window was not operating correctly as well.Seams to be problem with creaking bushes etc tho.Thanks for info.

Do the switches light up at night & does the central locking work via the door lock, not just drivers door but all doors lock/unlock?

Yeh the doors all lock via the door lock and the button on the key locks all doors other than the drivers door when pressed and lights working ok

I'd need to check the wiring schematics to be sure, but I would say its either a door module or wiring in the door has a problem, as if central locking works via the door lock, then this signifies the can wires are intact & door has power.

Got to the wiring today,and found three broken wires very close to the multi-plug.Unable to solder.Been advised to get another door loom but need to get the correct part number of existing one .Which will need myself to remove door card to obtain.I have seen several on eBay,so might be lucky.I have currently cut all the wires about 25/30 mm from the plug ,hoping to re solder wires to the short tails and refit with connectors on a temp basis.Taped up all other loose ends meantime,so central locking etc out of action . along with an airbag light now showing on dash,which concerns myself will this go out once repaired or not ?

Should of just got the repair wires from audi for the 3 wires & replaced/soldered etc, instead of cutting everything.

If it has a side impact sensor in the door, then yes this was down to the cutting.

The problem was the wires were broken right at the multi plug end,where my local audi dealer had joined them some time ago.So
much choice being honest.Is there any other way I can obtain the correct loom without removing the door card.Thanks for the info.cheers.
