Hi, I have a 2.7tdi lemans. I recently had water in with the fuel which I had removed and lines and rails blown through. Also a filter change.
The car has been fine for a couple of months but the lift pump does not operate with the ignition(it did before, not just on turn over)
the pump operates with 12v across it, the fuse is fine. I have no voltage at the pump connector regardless of ignition position. Where can I find the relay for the lift pump and is it possible to swop with another to test or just short it out?

Service guide indicates left plenum chamber electrics box, now if this is left from when standing in front engine as the other confusing point I come across is the car assumes a LHD car usually but has a RHD section this time around and still say left box ...

It's still left, next to the ecu. It's marked as a 643, I transposed that yesterday with one in the boot. Still no difference and no new faults either. I've had the diagnostics OBD2 plugged in this morn which I've borrowed. No fault codes at all.
    Help.....

In case you are not aware, the pump only primes for 2 seconds when you turn the igniton on. Then it powers back up then the engine is cranking/running. Regards Peter

Thanks, think I've just been paranoid since the water issue.
its just when I originally pumped the fuel out to clean the system it was running constantly when the ignition was on prior to start. But then I also had plenty of other things disconnected. Would it have just come on due to sensing low px?
it does run on start up.
