    Hi peeps ...

Since owning the car after washing it or after rain I'd always find a mini pond of water sitting at the base of the fuel filler area but no longer! ...

The drain was blocked ... a metre length of solid core electrical wire done the trick of clearing it ...

I'll upload some photos of the end of the drain tube but mine faces forwards, the front was caked in mud and stuff ...
I didn't know it was there until I saw water coming out of it after a lot of plunging, which way does yours face?

I would think it would be better if it to the side so it sort of spurted out centrally under the body but could over fill of fuel hit exhaust if done that way ...

After clearing blockage/cleaning drain end I could actually see it was clear PVC tubing! ...

A quick blast with the pressure washer seems to have sorted mine out. But, if, as you say, it's almost a metre long, I'll try this.

    Thanks

The drain pipe in parts catalogue has remark "790x5 shorten to 750mm" it was either 2.5mm2 or 4mm2 wire that I used to clear it, with insulating PVC still on it ...

I went in through the hole in the filler area, I also kept filling the filler area with water with a wet sponge whilst using the wire to clear drain ...

Then I noticed the water dribbling out here, this was obviously caked in mud before I took photo ...
