    AUDI A4 1.8T SALOON 2001 Hi all my car has developed another fault I am having trouble starting it takes three gos sometimes to get going.

    I my self a major DIYER if it can be fixed I will try my best to. This site and ilexa.co.uk "are the best". I hope to think that some of my posts have helped others, I now use my old laptop with vagcom this I hope will save me from having to pay high hourly rates at main dealers.

    Vag com fault codes are.

    Possible Causes
    Intake Camshaft Adjuster tight/stuck "Any idea where the adjuster is so I can have a look".
    Intake Camshaft Adjuster faulty

    Check Intake Camshaft Adjuster how do I check this out.

    Hello mate, I have the same car and the same codes have come up. The light came on and when I tried to start it again it took a while. It now drives very flat and is difficult to start when warm. I'd like to try and sort it myself so was hoping for some ideas??
