Spec.dock fitted.

Fitted a spec.dock iphone5 ashtray dock that arrived today.
I have a basic MMI with no satnav and tbh never used the FF satnav in my old allroad as it was out of date so bought this so I can mount my iphone and use the tom tom through the gateway 500 fitted.
Here is a pic.

Hi Chris,
I used that video as a guide to fitting it as I was unsure how to remove all that was needed.
My GW500 had a long enough cable to reach the ashtray so that saved on buying an extension lead and I am going to see if I can use a USB to dock cable for my old ipod touch and see if I can have both running.

I have a basic MMI - can I fit this?! How much does it cost and I presuem I need the Denison Gateway 500 - how much is one of those?

I'd love to be able to hook my iPod up but all the options I've seen so far seem to involve upgrading my MMI...

Hi Rosscow,
The gateway was already fitted to the car when I bought it, you can pick them up off of eBay but they are not cheap but saying that cheaper than upgrading to MMI high.
The spec dock was bought from eBay for £129 for the iphone5 version and the iPhone4 version is £99 I think.
