    cheers mate been searching around for answers and seen that i may need a new abs module, hopefully not and just found this so will give it a goBrake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201)

    Prerequisites:

    • System voltage at least 12.0 V.

    [Select]
    [03 - Brake Electronics]
    [Measuring Blocks - 08]
    Group 005
    [Go!]
    Check field 1, the value has to be between -8.0 and +8.0 bar.
    [Done, Go Back]
    [Coding-II - 11]
    OR (if Coding-II is not available)
    [Security Access - 16]
    Enter 40168, to enable the basic setting.
    [Do it!]
    [Basic Settings - 04]
    Group 066
    [Go!]
    Activate the Basic Setting.
    [ON/OFF/Next]
    After a successful basic setting, field 2 should say "OK".
    [Done, Go Back]
    To make sure the basic setting was succesful, check the sensor again.
    [Measuring Blocks - 08]
    Group 005
    [Go!]
    Check field 1, the value has to be between -3.8 and +3.8 bar.
    [Done, Go Back]
    [Close Controller, Go Back - 06]



    • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) active

    Possible Causes

    • Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure faulty

    Possible Solutions

    • Check/Replace Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure

    Special Notes

    • In cases where the Sensor for Brake Pressure is part of the Brake Hydraulics Unit, the complete Unit may need to be replaced.

    now having problems with my cable ffs, its an official rosstech one aswell. Sorry this function requires a licensed interface, even though it worked on all modes earlier then a little later had restricted the basic settings tab for example which i needed to click to finish my checks.

    really didnt think id have all these electrical issues with an Audi thought id let that ****** ship sink with my 306

    also checked the brake pressure and was within the set parameters -8.0 and +8.0 bar., so assume the switch isnt faulty or completely faulty, might just have to take it in somewhere soon as i need it back on the road just cant afford to shell out for unjustified parts and labour

    turns out its not a ross tech cable i have gonna try get my money back fromn the seller on ebay as its useless to me, is direct from ross tech the best option for what i need? dopnt want to be relying on audi at all cant afford

    So id be looking around the £250 mark? might be better for me to get someone local or someone with a cable to have a look for me then would be a fair bit cheaper id imagine

    Depends if you're planning on keeping the car for a long time or not.

    It'll pay for itself after 3 scans.

    Just checked my warrantee with the car as I got some gold customer care package with my checked the fine print and looks as though its covered I've just gotta pay the diagnostic charge at £50, they said I could use halfords for the work as they're linked but said next wendsday earliest, I used to work on the bike dept in halfords 10 years back and remember the car dept been pretty **** in reputation and service, however could take it to any garage with a labour rate of up to £47 or so, what would you guys reccomend I'm guessing a strong steer clear of halfords for a start?
