    Do these 'ultrasonic' cleaning machines also get rid of carbon?

    yes they do, but you would need a pretty big one to get the whole car in ?
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    I've not had Terra clean or any other additive type cleaning process ... I used a screwdriver, cloth and some diesel when cleaning the throttle body adapter on my car ...

    I need to do EGR system/intake manifold system any advice/experience share you can give Zol be welcome , here's that thread Link:- Audi A6 2.7 & 3.0 TDi EGR & Intake system cleaning info please...

    remove it all, soak in breakaway and wipe clean, then chisel the stubborn bits away. or soak in brake cleaner and set fire to it. fire removes carbon really well. this cyclo breakaway really is good and is about £329.99 for a 500 ml can.

    I'll leave the part out as the upper/lower manifolds are made of a plastic type material, must by high temp grade but don't really know if it will standup to it ...

    be fun finding out. its just a nasty messy horrible job. you could always put them in the dishwasher though.

    They need to modify their advertising strategy to appeal to the VAG enthusiast ...
