    Hi guys,

Found this whilst reading a car magazine yesterday:

    http://www.dieselturbocleaner.co.uk/

Just a pointer, never used it or the company that makes it, just thought it maybe of interest.

If it starts a massive argument I'm off ......

OK peeps must make a retraction here ... below post 2009 ... and the others I saw were older ...

    1) You MUST have a hand vacuum pump to operate the vanes whilst spraying in the chemical, operating it by hand is not substitute.
    2) The supplied tin of rinsing spray is not enough, I use another full tin of Würth Multipurpose cleaner to flush the rest out.
    3) The vanes need to be exercised in Basic Setting 011 after the treatment whilst the cleaner is being drawn through the NEW fuel filter.

This way I have had around a 75% success rate but no, it is not 100% but I hope the one tomorrow works as the owner is counting on it being successful.

    Then later ones

On the one before that it did not cure the problem. On both I removed the turbo’s and could see no sign of the chemical having removed anything except having dislodged a lump of carbon that jammed the ring. I took a new can of the cleaner and sprayed it directly onto half the carbon and left it overnight. The next day I rinsed it off with the rinse agent and there was absolutely no difference between the two halves, the only thing that will remove the build up is mechanically polishing it off with a wire brush or bead blasting. If anyone wants Innotec turbo clean, I have two sets sitting on the shelf going nowhere. By the way, if you decide to use it, buy some thick paint stripper proof gloves and wear eye protection, it is nasty stuff.
    Then 2011 ...

I had two packs left in stock and on Monday I found the turbo on a car I had come in with a dead cam and DMF was stuck at max boost and I was gutted. The car is an A3 quattro and removing the turbo is a complete git due to the 4WD gubins (if I had known when the box was out it would have been so much easier) so I emptied the two packs of Innotec into the turbo. After FIVE hours I managed to get the lever to at least move but on a road test it still popped into limp in 5th so the turbo is off now being rebuilt. Personally I think the Innotec treatment is a waste of time.

Diesel Turbo Cleaner is designed to cure your limp mode and with the easy to follow instructions, it will save you £100's on garage bills, so for only £49.99 give it a try and you will be surprised with the results.
One cause of limp mode is a split hose, unless the cleaner comes with a little man who enters your engine bay and replaces any split hoses, this claim is beyond ludicrous.

    Amazing.

Build up a hatred amongst your users then release a new product under a new name and hope it all goes away.

    What a joke.

i use a penetrating oil called cyclo breakaway. really good it is as well, as a penetrating oil for freeing off nuts and bolts.
the other week i had a vnt turbo apart as i was rebuilding it and decided to give the mechanism a clean. now it wasn't actually sticking but was well carboned up. i decided to try this penetrating oil and lo and behold it is really good at disolving carbon. i let it soak in overnight, rinsed off in the parts washer and gave it a scrub with a toothbrush and it was as good as new.
