Just like the amazing marketing spill today, Samsung UK telling me today the latest flagship TV's voice control system which self activates even in a silent room with no trigger words spoken, is just the feature "Limitation" uh but I didn't activate it & I'm not saying its limited in functionality, I'm saying its a piece of shxt, its a "Limitation sir" lmao.

Yes, I do like Samsung products, but the whole voice/gesture control thing is a novelty at the moment & has a long way to go before it is actually useful. As my wife says (I've been after a Samsung 8000 series 3D LED TV for a while now, but can't really afford it), if it turns the TV off every time someone says the word "off", it would be on & off more tomes than a tart's knickers if it turned off every time she told me to f*** off, lol.

Oh fella, the voice control is the last of my worries with these F8000 units, untold firmware issues, cretin support, I have lost my temper big time today with them, almost as bad as antennagate lmao.

I can only aspire to having those kinds of problems. But it'll be a while before I can get one. The 8000 series gets rave reviews generally though & with the nature of your TV's problems, I'd guess that you'd got a faulty unit & are being fobbed off. Don't accept their blagging mate, demand a replacement.

Trust me, you don't want to aspire to these problems at all & its not my set as its had mobo & daughterboard swap outs, its all FW related & they're absolutely pathetic problems that Samsung are too lazy to fix.

That's not good, on a top of the line piece of tech. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for", so I'd be fuming too mate.

Ahh yes, antennagate. Now I remember hearing about it. you've not had the best run of luck with your tech, so much for staying with reputable, branded goods.

Christ no, I didn't get stuck in the Apple ecosystem timewarp fella, thank ****, old hat technology lol.

Just analogy of the comparison of the 2 scenario's are the same, arrogance, ignorance to known problems.

But, as with all big companies these days, its all down to loss adjusting & if its less cost to fix or to settle claims, for things they cant be ***** to deal with, the word morality isn't a widely used term in corporate business these days & tbh probably never was & only comes out when bodies like Vosa etc get involved & they are told to do as they're effing told or face huge fines.
