I have recently bought an Audi A4 2.0 TDI (143) S Line Exec. S/S 2010 (31.03.10) in Lava Grey Pearl.

I bought it from my local car auction, it did not reach the reserve price in the hall but they called me later to ask if I wanted to make an offer, so I went back the next day for a good look, a test drive and struck a deal.

They said it had 2x Services at the main dealers, but I am not so sure.

It has two entries in the Service Record book, the 1st date stamp at 19k for Audi LongLife Service and another at 29k but this looks to be a brake fluid check only (BFC only).
    The current mileage is 30K.
    MOT carried out 23.03.13
Workshop remarks state it has had 13E6 and 94F6 software updates also at 19k.

I am not sure when it should be serviced? It says in service at 7.7k required, but I believe it should be the Audi short term serving? As I do not do a lot of motorway miles?

Will the Audi main dealer (Cardiff) provide me with the cars full service history over the phone or by email / post? What can I expect them to provide?

Are there any upgrades / recalls that the car may have missed? It is now 3 years and 3 months old so the Audi warranty has now finished? Or can I buy and extended warranty from Audi?

Another problem is that I cannot stop looking at my car from the house as I think it is stunning? Is this normal?

    Any advice would much appreciated.

Any Audi dealer will tell you any servicing done by the dealer network along with any recalls done.

You'll not get extended warranty as this has to be arranged before the cars 3rd birthday so your only option is aftermarket which isn't worn the paper it's written on.

Get it serviced now and get it on the 10k/1 year interval.

You could still try contacting the Audi Extended Warranty people (https://www.audiextendedwarranty.co.uk) and see if they can still offer a warranty? May be possible if car is up to date on services, but may be more expensive than if you had extended it from 3 years old.

Lava Grey is a great colour, but I'm biased!

Thats what I'm using and they told me it had to be arranged before the original manufacturers warranty expired, ie at 3 years or 60k.

Oh thank goodness! I also wanted to mention I can't stop grinning whilst driving it, but I'd better keep that to myself!

You're still at Stage 1 of VAG Owners Syndrome ...

Stage 2 is as described in post 5, an element of Stage 2 is also taking sneaky peaks (safely) at the reflection of yourself driving your VAG vehicle in the glass of buildings ...
