    Hi Guys,

In just a few short days I will be the proud owner of a lovely silver 10 plate A6 Avant, I am really looking forward to collecting her and the days can’t pass quick enough.

When I collect the car she comes with a 12 month warranty apparently on all electrical and mechanical, so what I would really like to know is there any common faults with the A6 that I can get my garage to look for whilst its under warranty.

    Cheers
    Stan.

Nice car! I have the same type albeit the S-Line.
There really arent too many issues to be worried about on this car...the engine is pretty reliable...its the CR version so none of the PD woes to be concerned about.
Double check the connection on the rear washer pipe in the left cubby hole in the boot...they can be prone to leaking and pour water into your MMI unit located very conveniently directly below it! Happened to me and several others.
Timing belt on the TdiE is at 4 years or 11400 miles as per Audi handbook.....had mine done at about 118000 miles a few months back. You should be fine for a while yet. If and when you do get it done, change the water pump at the same time.

    Any questions...just ask...

    Neil
